"Where is she?" Lydia asked upon entering Kyle's home.

"Not here."

"And where would she go?"

Not speaking, Kyle turned from her. Looking over the note that C.J. had left, he finally turned back. "Guess."

"Long time no see, Daddy," she whispered. Walking up to the headstone, she set down the bottle of whiskey, her father's favorite, and took out a glass. Pouring it so that the liquid was up to the top, C.J.set it on the top of the stone and took a heavy drink of the amber drink.

It burned all the way down to her belly and she grinned slightly. "So, I guess we'd have better catch up, huh?"

Pacing the kitchen, Lydia shook her head. "How...I mean...God, what is happening to my baby? Why, after all these years, is she going there?"

"Solace?"

"You're not helping Jeffery."

"Sorry." Sitting next to his daughter, Jeff shrugged. "Maybe Claude needed to think."

"With a bottle of whiskey?" Fancy asked, stunned. "That's not like her."

"She's right," Robin, her mother, agreed. "C.J. must've had a pretty good reason."

Grabbing her keys, Lydia nodded. "And I'm going to go find out."

"Aw Daddy, you'd be-hic-so proud of me." She nodded to the tree's and the wildlife. "Uh-huh. I mean, I, Claudia Jean Cregg, the Press Secretary. Is mother happy about that? Nooo. Of course not. Her baby did a bad thing." C.J. giggled. "I think that's a line from a song!"

Her response, as usual, was silence. Pouting, she turned and her eyes brightened. Seeing that her bottle was empty, C.J. picked up the glass, asked,"You're not going to drink this right?" And downed it. It didn't burn anymore. Just went down smooth.

"There you are. Come on, Claudia, let's go," her mother rushed over to her.

"No!" she shouted. "I'm not going anywhere with you!"

"Honey, we have to go home right now. It's time to sleep."

With heavy eyes, C.J. grinned happily. "Sleep? I like sleep."

"I know. So come on and we'll get you nice and comfy..." Lydia trailed off, putting her arm around her daughter. "Here we go."

"Mama, do you hate me?"

"No, baby, I don't hate you."

Curious, C.J. asked, "Then why did you get all mad when I left?"

"Because...Because I felt like I was losing you," Lydia told her, her throat thickening.

"Aw, you didn't lose me Mama." Stopping, C.J. moaned and put a hand to her mouth. "Oh god." Breaking away, she ran to some bushes.

"Don't you dare go in there, Kyle," his mother warned.

"But..."

"No."

"Is Auntie C sick?" Roxie asked, looking up at all the adults.

Nodding, Edward smiled. "But tomorrow, she'll be just fine."

"We better have coffee out right away."

"Oh hell yes," Fancy nodded.
