All pertinent information is in Part 1. Part 13 "No...listen...there's more nasal to it...Wa Wa Wa." "Josh, that sounds like a baby crying." "Well CJ if your such an expert you try." "Don't mind if I do...Wah, Wah, Wah." "That's Charlie Brown's teacher." "Maybe that monocle helped Burgess Meredith get that Penguin Wha...Wha...Wha just right." "That's it! That's the sound, Boy Myna Bird!" "Holy imitation, Batman, really?" Just then, the President, Leo, Abbey and Ron came sailing into the room, coming to a halt on the opposite side of the table. "So have you hoodlums decided to "fess up" yet? No? Well maybe this will jog your collective memories." The President motioned to Ron, who spoke briefly into his mouthpiece. The door beside him opened and the agent who had initially tailed the Senior Staff stepped inside. He placed the evidence on the table. A chocolate tin shaped like an egg, a mummy wrapped feline figurine minus head, said head and a piece of White House letterhead. The President dismissed Ron and his agents, expressing his appreciation for their help. Leo glanced at the figurine before eyeing CJ suspiciously. CJ was crushing Toby's hand so hard he was trying to pry it out of her clutches. The President reached over and picked up the sheet of White House letterhead. He recognized the flourished handwriting as Sam's. He began to read out loud: We, the undersigned members of the Bartlet Administration, have enclosed in this time capsule, cherished memories of our time together. Let it be known, that we shall for all time, look back with fondness on our friendships, forged through strife and ease. We too, will always recognize our fortune at having worked with the finest group of dedicated and principled people this country, our America, has ever seen. We are duly humbled by the magnitude of human dignity, strength and kindness that has unfolded before our eyes each day spent in the West Wing. And when we step into the unknown future...perhaps separated...maybe never to see each other on this plane of existence again, we will always share a secret knowledge. That this simple container will hold our love for each other in quiet repose and peace until our return or is discovered with joy by another. This will sustain us through anything fate may send our way and for that we will forever be grateful. We serve at the pleasure and for the love of our President, Josiah Bartlet and his family. When the President finished a tense hush fell over the room. Leo cleared his throat. "So, tonight's escapade was to get Toby's ball for this time capsule?" The hellions nodded their heads together. "And none of you wanted to give up your own ball?" This time they sheepishly shrugged together. Abbey looked at Sam and queried, "I'm surprised at you. If they decided to jump off a bridge you'd follow them?" Sam thought about it for a moment before answering. "Well, ma' am, I would gladly follow anyone in this room to the ends of the earth." Later they all agreed with affection that Sam truly was a wonder. After a moment of silence, Leo reached in his pocket. He bounced Toby's ball several times on the table before putting it in the tin. The two groups of friends looked across the table at each other and grinned. They gathered together around the tin arranging the old and now newly collected items. Besides the ball, Leo added a cat collar with a bell and what appeared to be part of a bicycle chain. The President admonished, "Leo, you kept that?" "Well Mr. President it's the only thing you left of my bike." The President and Abbey added several things. A picture of the Bartlets playing in the snow on the White House lawn. It had a classic shot of Charlie with snow smashed on his head. There appeared to be a love letter but everyone was too shy to ask. Finally a copy of the President's Chili Recipe was slipped in. When Toby voiced his hope that it was the only copy, the President launched into trivia on how bats didn't have taste buds. Josh disappeared for a while and returned with a picture. He asked Sam for the felt pen and crayon. When Sam handed them over, he tried to catch a glimpse of the photo but Josh covered it secretively with his arm as he drew. When he finally finished, the masterpiece was held up for all to see. The outburst almost brought Ron back into the room. Josh proudly displayed a picture of Mary Marsh with horns, forked tongue and tail and a pitchfork. With great ceremony it was place in the chocolate tin. Sam took out his key chain and removed a miniature life preserver. Josh had given it to him after Sam's unfortunate fall out of a sailboat. The two young men smiled at the recollection of the memory. Toby pulled out one last photo. Their group shot after winning the election. He took out his pen, passed it with the photo and Sam's manifesto to the President. And in so doing, each person signed both, until Toby was the last. After adding the date, these last two things were placed in the egg shaped tin and sealed. "So, do we have any idea of where this is going to be buried." The group looked to Toby, "Actually, Sir we have the perfect spot."
