In the Beginning...
"Aren't you ready yet?!" Jenny exclaimed as she walked into her friend's apartment.
Abigail Mathews stood, clad in the grubbiest clothes she had, in the middle of her apartment, "What does it look like?"
"It looks like you're trying to figure out a way to get out of coming with me to Leo's party." Jenny replied. "That's what it looks like."
"Well, then that's probably what it is." Abbey retorted.
"Abbey, come on!" Jenny groaned. "We've been over this! You promised to come..."
"Jenny, I just don't think it's a good idea."
"And Leo's counting on seeing you there," Jenny added. "And so is his friend."
"I don't think that's such a good idea," Abbey said, collapsing in a chair. "I mean, I really don't want to start anything right now, Jenny. I mean it."
"Abbey," Jenny sighed. "It's just a party... not the Spanish Inquisition."
"Might as well be," Abbey muttered.
Jenny walked over and pulled her friend out of the chair, "Come on, let's go. We're going to pick out something for you to where and then we're going to Leo's cause we're going to be late."
"Do my wishes mean anything to you?"
"Nope," Jenny replied, pushing her towards the bedroom. "Not at the moment."
"Just checking," Abbey sighed.
