Four Months and Five Weeks Ago Come Friday Part 4

The room is spinning, I swear it is. The whole bathroom is tilting and I can almost feel myself slide down. I blanched and immediately went for the toilet again.

I hate throwing up, I couldn't imagine how people make themselves throw up, I hate it so much. It's such a horrible disgusting feeling.

"Donna are you okay?" I hear CJ pound on the bathroom door.

"Yeah," I moaned.

I got to my feet slowly, flushed the toilet and staggered out of the bathroom. I headed strait for the sink and almost didn't see CJ standing next to me.

"God, Donna you look horrible," CJ shook her head. "You should really go to the doctor."

"I'm fine," I grumbled, my hair was falling in front of my face as I washed my hands.

"That's the third time you've thrown up this morning Donna, you are obviously not fine," CJ said strictly and handed me a paper towel.

"Fourth," I muttered.

"What?"

"Its' the fourth time I've thrown up," I corrected. "I did it at home too."

"That's' it, I'm taking you to the doctor's," CJ stated firmly and put an arm around me to help guide me towards the door. I was that sick, and dizzy. Throwing up always makes me dizzy.

"But Josh," I argued weakly.

"Josh is a big boy, he can handle himself," CJ said. "I'll call him in the car."

With that CJ led me out of the West Wing towards her car. CJ was a tall person so naturally she had a big car. I had minor difficult clambering into the SUV, but eventually found the front seat. CJ started driving and dialed Josh's number into her cell phone. After she was finished she handed the phone to me and I heard it ring.

"Hello, Josh Lyman speaking," Josh said in his usual monotone voice when answering his office phone.

"Hi darling," I giggled. Okay, so I was in a slightly weird mood. I had just puked my guts out and I was now giddy, it's what I do.

"Donna?" I heard him ask. I could imagine the look on his face, somewhere between shock and concern. "Where are you?"

"CJ's car," I said. "She's being a bitch."

"I am only taking car of your health," CJ grumbled and yelled loud enough for Josh to hear.

"Donatella," I heard Josh say in his reprimanding tone. "I thought we agreed you would tell me if you weren't feeling any better."

"I thought I was okay," I sniffled mockingly. "I'm just going to the doctor, Josh, I'll be back before you have to go to that silly meeting."

"Okay," he laughed beside himself. "Tell CJ to take care of you."

"Kay, she's gonna play mother hen," I laugh.

"Donna, give me the phone," CJ snapped and I handed it over. "Joshua, you owe me big." She hung up right after so I dunno if Josh had a reply. I lay back in the seat and closed my eyes.

I threw up on the way, thank god; not on CJ's car, but rather in a trash bag she managed to throw to me just in time. So, as you can imagine, I didn't feel any better by the time I got to the doctor's office. We didn't wait in the waiting room for very long before CJ and I were escorted to a room in the back. CJ insisted on staying with me and I made a quick mental note to thank her later. Maybe I'd send her some pretty flowers. Pretty flowers...I'm still a little woozy from all the puking.

Soon a doctor walked in and asked CJ a couple questions about how she brought me here. I was sitting on the bed/bench thing covered in paper.

"How are you feeling Donna?" he asked me.

"Okay," I lied.

"How long have you had these little throw up fests?"

"Just this morning...oh wait...I got sick the day before yesterday."

"You did?" CJ piped up.

"Yeah, I didn't tell Josh," I explained quickly. "That's when I thought I was...you know..."

"Pregnant?" the doctor finished for me.

"Yeah," I sighed.

"Well Donna I'm going to need you to do something for me," he explained. "Go into the bathroom and pee in this cup." He handed me a plastic cup and lid.

"Oh yeah, this is just what I wanted to do today," I grumbled and left the room.

It didn't take me very long to pee and I brought it back later, a little red in the face when I handed the doctor the cup.

"I'll be right back," the doctor said and left. I sat back down on the bench thing with a sigh.

"Donna?"

"Yeah?"

"You should have done that test twice," CJ said simply.

"What test?"

"The Pregnancy test," CJ said.

"Why?" I asked.

"Never mind," she sighed.

I frowned. What was she suggesting? Never mind, my head hurt too much just thinking about it. We sat in silence for at least ten minutes until the door finally opened again.

"Miss Moss," the doctor said carefully. "You are sexually active, aren't you?"

"Yes," I said with a blush. "My boyfriend."

The doctor nodded and handed me a small white stick. I glanced at it and instantly felt a lump from in my throat.

"Donna?" CJ asked.

"It's positive."

I hate paper work, but it makes the world go round, so here I am, filling more of it out. I glanced at the clock on the wall and wondered when Donna was going to get back. I was a little worried about her.

"Josh," Sam announced as he walked into my office. "You got info on 227?"

"Here," I handed it to him.

"Thanks," Sam said and glanced it over. "Hey, where's Donna?"

"CJ's taking her to the doctors."

"Why aren't you?"

"Because she didn't tell me she wasn't feeling well. CJ happened to be there when she threw up again and dragged her out of the White House," I explained.

"Ah," Sam nodded.

"Did you know she thought she was pregnant?" I asked.

"No."

"She did."

"Wow."

"Yeah."

"She's not?"

"No, she wanted to be though."

"Oh," he nodded. "Her biological clock is ticking."

"So is mine," I said a little defensively.

"You're a guy, josh, you have no clock."

"I'm allowed to have a clock."

"Whatever."

"I kind of would like to get married," I commented.

"Really?" Sam's eyebrows raised.

"Not now I'm just saying...you know...eventually."

"Sure," Sam rolled his eyes and walked out.

That's what I meant! Wasn't it? Oh shit...
